Architectural Technician/Architect

Your new role

We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic and proactive Architectural Technician/Architect to join our small collaborative team based in Dumbarton.

At Clark Design Architecture we work on a wide range of projects ranging from domestic extensions and bespoke new build homes to commercial projects and housing developments across the West of Scotland. We work on all stages of the RIBA plan of works and are looking for someone capable of managing and contributing to projects from survey stage through to completion.

Responsibilities include; site surveys, preparation of design, planning/building warrant applications, construction drawings and planning/building warrant application submissions.

What you will need to succeed

• Experience working on residential projects.

• Knowledge of Scottish Domestic and Non-Domestic building regulations and Planning guidelines.

• Experience with the Planning and Building Warrant application approval process and requirements.

• Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients, Building Standards, Planning, local authorities, consultants etc.

• Ability to work efficiently and manage time to meet deadlines.

• Candidate should be flexible to work across several projects at once.
